As I gaze out the window, I see the frozen landscape stretch out for hundreds of miles. A dark patchwork of cleared off roads accent the white blanket of snow which lies deep on the mountains below. For now, the scene is one of peaceful tranquility, but clouds are gathering to the west. Soon, they will be upon us. Soon, we will face yet another storm, but it is not the one that I fear. When flight is over, I will leave the airport behind. Then, I go face another storm, one that already has my heart frozen with fear

Have you ever been asked to do something you didn't want to do?
I started working in construction when I was 13 years old. By the age of 14, I was leading men three times my age. One summer, I helped pour concrete streets in a subdivision that my dad started in Geneva. It was on this project that I got my first taste of leadership. As I think back on those days I wonder what my dad was thinking anyway.
